Service and Maintenance

The condition of steel and solid chimney systems is monitored according to DIN V 4133 / DIN 1056; this is to verify their stability, assess ladders and identify damage as early as possible. These inspections, required by law, are most commonly conducted every two years. The inspections are conducted by a qualified technician (IVS seminar for technicians), who documents the results in a log book that must be submitted to the authorities on request. The log book must be presented before any authorised party (e.g. chimney sweep) conducts an inspection.
